CISB 15 - Microcomputer Applications

This course is an introduction to windows-based operating system and applications. It includes the use of simple business examples using up-to-date browser, word processing, spreadsheet, database management and presentation software; and integration of software applications. Students get hands-on instruction on windows-based computers. The course is currently taught using Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010, which includes Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.

CISB 15 is intended for all Business majors and students who need to upgrade or acquire a variety of computer skills.

The following Student Learning Outcomes will be assessed during the semester to assist in measuring student success:

  • Students completing CISB 15 - Microcomputer Applications will be able to use Microsoft Word to create professional documents needed to create a computer security report.

  • Students completing CISB 15 - Microcomputer Applications will be able to use Microsoft Excel will be able to effectively use formulas and functions in worksheets.
