CISB 31 - Microsoft Word 

( FORMERLY COMP 20 )

This course involves extensive hands-on instruction using Microsoft Word and its editing, formatting, and language tools to create, revise and format various business and report documents. Also create flyers, newsletters, and other publication documents using advanced formatting techniques and tools.

Learn initial creation and revision of documents, basic and advanced formatting, spell check, thesaurus, files management, tables, columns, outlines, merge, sort, graphics, index, table of contents, and forms.
(The course will be taught using Microsoft Word 2010) 

The following Student Learning Outcomes will be assessed during the semester to assist in measuring student success:

  • Students completing CISB 31 - Microsoft Word will be able to create a Word document in which text, paragraphs, and layout are formatted effectively and efficiently.

  • Students completing CISB 31 - Microsoft Word will be able to use Word's mail merge feature to generate customized letters and mailing labels in mass.
